Account Manager, Personal Lines

Full-time - Exempt

Property & Casualty License Required – All others need not apply

The Personal Lines Account Manager is an essential role as he/she is responsible for managing a diverse book of business and maintains a positive relationship with our clients.

Duties include but are not limited to: endorsements, answering underwriting requests, rounding out and up-selling accounts, renewing policies including surplus lines, renewal proposals, answering billing questions, and processing cancellations/reinstatements; all while maintaining an upbeat attitude for a positive work environment. The Personal Lines Account Manager will be responsible for new sales and have attainable goals and bonuses based on new business written from referrals and call in prospects.

Requirements - applicants must:
  • Have a valid VA Property & Casualty license and have at least three years of Personal Lines Account Management or sales experience
  • Be ethical, professional, intelligent, personable, highly motivated, energetic, and responsible
Possess the following skills:
  • Critical thinking
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Organization
  • Have strong computer proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel and management systems
Our preferred candidate will have:
  • Knowledge of Applied/EPIC

Our Insurance Customer Service Representative (CSR) is an insurance account support specialist who is responsible for servicing clients in various ways. The role is essential as he/she develops and maintains the relationship with our clients and provides the first line of excellent customer service. This person works closely with our producers (sales team), and other account support specialists on their team, as well as underwriters. This means our ideal candidate must be a team player.

Duties include but are not limited to: issuing certificates, endorsements, answering underwriting requests, up-selling accounts, renewing policies including surplus lines, renewal proposals, answering billing questions, audit disputes, and processing cancellations/reinstatements; all while maintaining an upbeat attitude for a positive work environment.
